Big E is 7 !!

Today my little boys turns SEVEN!!

Look How big/old he looks!!

On one hand time is absolutely flying!  I can't believe that I have a 7 year old.  But on the other, I barely  remember life before kids.  I feel like I have always been a mom.

Emmett had a Wonderful day!  It started out with his favorite breakfast...Cinnamon Rolls.  Very easy just pop 'em out of a can, put 'em in the oven and Emmett feels like a king.  He got to have his mom come volunteer in his classroom this morning.  It won't be long and that won't be cool anymore.  Then he got to take his favorite lunchable for lunch today.  Now that is a treat!  Then for his school birthday treat, mom (& grandma & grandpa) brought in Dugout ice cream for his whole class.  Then Uncle Nick was at his house after school to play the wii with him.  This is probably his ultimate Favorite thing right now!  And to top it off, he got to spend the evening at Chuck E. Cheese.  His Aunt Marsha & family, Aunt Shannon & family & grandma were all there too! He had a good, good day.

Emmett @ school today!

Some of his Chuck E Cheese pictures!

*his Bday present from Molly.  We wanted one to fit Uncle Nick ;)

& all of the kids that came tonight!

Being Emmett's Mom has been wonderful, interesting & exactly what I have always wanted.  Being my first he was the child that made me a mom for the first time.  He is also the child we are learning with.  Everything he does is a first for Chad & I.  Sometimes we hope that we aren't screwing up with him because somehow we never received the manual that you are supposed to get when you have a baby!  ha ha!

I am definately enjoying the journey that Emmett has embarked upon with us.  I love you little guy and I have enjoyed almost every minute these past 7 years and look forward to the next 77!  But please Slow Down !

* Can you tell he loves any sport & anything outside*

It's about Dang Time!!

Being an Aunt is so much fun.....

...but only for awhile!
Eventually it's time to be a mom & have a few of your own.  But sometimes the road to get there is a little longer for some.  Few people understand that like this girl does...

But... Finally, with alot of support, appointments, tears & prayers.  Shannon is gonna be a Mommy! (oh & Aaron a daddy ;)

Molly had the privilege of  going to one of Shannon's doctor's appointments with her.  To say she was excited is a bit of an understatement.  Before she left I told her to tell me if she heard a girl or a boy heartbeat.  She said...you can tell a difference??  So I informed her no you can't mommy was just joking.  But being my daughter, she took the camera to capture this rare opportunity that she had!!

Dr. Fofung~ Shannon's OB & also the doctor who delivered Molly!

I just love that Molly gets to be a part of all the fun things that come along with a new baby without her mother having to be the one to have it ;)

So Aaron get out of that hospital bed...

...and move over Bella

It's time for Shannon & Baby Pohm to soak up the attention!!

I just can't wait for Shannon to hold one of these that actually belongs to her.

Love Makes a Marriage, Baby Makes a Family!

Thank you Shannon for allowing Molly to go to your appointment with you.  Thank you for waiting until I was (maybe) done with kids so I can really enjoy yours.  And thank you for showing me how much strength one person can really have.  I love you & am so excited for July :)

Who doesn't love taking a 2 yr old to church?

Don't you just love taking a two year old to church???  Sometime, Ok usually, I wonder what's the point?

This past Sunday Max ran out of church TWO times.  Chad had to chase after him for the 2nd time.  He came back in and sat on my lap.  I said, "Max you can't run out of church."  He replies, "I Walk?"  Ha!  No buddy the point is you can't LEAVE church.  I don't care if you are running, walking, crawling or hopping!  You need to stay in church :)  I love that little boy and all the crazy, funny things he say.  I just hope he is learning something that makes it all worth it!  And I am pretty confident he is :)

Max 2 1/2 years and loving (almost) every moment of it :)

Thank Patrick's Day

For some reason St. Patrick's Day is a big deal in this house this year.  I think I just like a reason to decorate & celebrate.  It started with a few decorations that I have picked up after St. Patty's Day at a very low cost and has spiraled into the 5th biggest holiday.  But it's really just a few little things that I have done to make it fun for my kids!

Molly has been talking about Thank Patrick's Day for about two weeks.  So we got some green shirts, shamrock tatoos, and leprechaun hats/crowns!  Yesterday Molly & I made some shamrock cut-out cookies and Emmett made his leprechaun trap!!

So since there was a leprechaun trap...I guess he has to come and play some tricks!

Pulled Emmett's money off his trap and scattered it on his floor.

Hung Molly's clothes from her ceiling fan. (I wish he would have cleaned it while he was up there :)

Flipped the chairs over.

Put the cookies above the cupboard.

Switched the plates with the cups.

& Molly's shoes were hanging on the back of her chair!

Here are my little leprechauns all dressed for their day...

& we also spent alot of the day riding the GREEN tractor!

And we topped off the night with, of course, Jig's Dinner...or as Molly called it, Jake's dinner.  She kept wondering when we were going to take Jake's Dinner over to him.  He's only 7 months...he won't be eating this for awhile.

It was definately a fun day.  I love being able to make fun memories for my kids.  But now when anything happens or isn't in it place the kids blame it on those pesky leprechauns ;)

Our little All-Star

Emmett finished his 2nd season of Upward Basketball about 2 weeks ago.  He has one practice during the week and plays one game on Saturday. He also joined the 'league" that they have in Liberty Center.  They don't have any games as first graders, but practice every Saturday morning.  He really is a sports enthusiast.  He is in a sport during every season.  He is our oldest and is proving to keep us very busy, but we love every moment of it.  Here he is at his last game.

He doesn't look very excited.  He probably wants something from the concession stand during half-time and we told him NO!!

I didn't get any good pictures during this season.  There was something about my camera in that gym's lighting that didn't mesh.

Emmett really progressed as a basketball player during this season.  He was told by his coach that his dribbling had imporved tremendously and he might be the best dribbler on the team.  Sports are very important to our family.  We love the life skills sports instills; goodwork ethic, committment, respect and being a team player to name a few.  We are so glad that Emmett is learning all of these.

Way to go Emmett!  We are very proud of you and look forward to watching you compete for many years to come.

Cracking the Crime

I made brownies today...

The Best-Ever Brownies

These are not it!!

These are....

If you look to the right you can see the weapon!

And here is the culprit....

...serving his punishment!

I still love him.  The brownies still tasted good.  And I did get my bathroom cleaned.  But now I know what I get for trying to multi-task!
